The Lady and I go on lots of adventures together as we create ‘Murray Tails’. Our first book is about how I learn to make friends at the playground. What I learned is that not everyone will be your friend….but there will ALWAYS be SOMEONE who will be your friend.
ABOUT MARGOT TOHN,
MURRAY, SCOT RITCHIE, AND THE MURRAY TAILS
Margot and Murray have been together since Murray was eight weeks old. Murray is an oversized, energetic, sensitive, and mischievous Sheepadoodle. As he has grown up, Margot has entertained her friends and family with Murray’s adventures and misadventures. Over time, Margot noticed something special: Murray’s emotional ups and downs mirrored those of her friends’ young children. That insight sparked her “aha moment” — why not turn Murray’s adventures into children’s stories that offer meaningful lessons? And so, The Murray Tails was born — a joyful series of books for children ages 3 to 6, filled with humor, heart, and everyday wisdom. Murray, who adores people (especially kids), is thrilled to be the star of his very own series.
Margot Tohn, aka The Lady, has had a career spanning publishing, financial services, small business consulting, commercial real estate management, multiple volunteer and non-profit Board positions, and even publishing a guidebook to NYC’s 1,100 parking garages. Margot has lived in Australia and San Francisco. She and Murray split their time between New York City and Saratoga Springs, NY.
Scot Ritchie is an award-winning illustrator and author. Scot’s books have been translated into languages including French, Korean, Chinese, Finnish, Arabic, and Dutch. Margot had a great time working with Scot and watching her words come to life on the page.
